Cambodian Client Places 2MW Energy Storage Order After Factory Tour in Zhongshan

2026-05-21

ZHONGSHAN, China – May 21, 2026 – Guangdong VOLFUTR Technology Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of advanced battery energy storage systems, today announced that a prominent Cambodian renewable energy developer has placed a firm order for 2MW of utility-scale energy storage batteries following an in-depth factory inspection.

The client, Phnom Penh-based Golden Sun Energy Co., toured VOLFUTR’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Minzhong Town, Zhongshan City, where they witnessed the full production chain—from battery cell assembly to final system integration. The visit included live performance tests of the company’s latest liquid-cooled energy storage battery cabinets, demonstrating round-trip efficiency exceeding 95%.

Impressed by the automated production lines, rigorous quality control protocols, and the system’s proven safety record, the Cambodian delegation signed a purchase agreement for two 1MW battery storage units, scheduled for delivery within 15 days from the order date. The 2MW system will be deployed to support a commercial microgrid project in Siem Reap, helping to stabilize voltage fluctuations and reduce diesel generator dependency.

“We evaluated several international suppliers, but VOLFUTR’s transparency and technical competence set them apart,” said Mr. Sophea Rith, Technical Director of Golden Sun Energy. “Seeing the factory floor and real-time data from their test racks gave us full confidence. This 2MW system offers exactly the scalability and durability we need for Cambodia’s tropical climate.”

Mr. Jason Liu, International Sales Director at Guangdong VOLFUTR Technology Co., Ltd., commented: “This order marks our third collaboration with a Southeast Asian customer this year. Cambodia’s fast-growing industrial and resort sectors demand resilient, clean power. We are proud to support their energy transition with made-to-order storage solutions, and our rapid 15-day delivery capability ensures their project stays on schedule.”

The 2MW units feature modular lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cells, IP54 protection, and an active balancing battery management system (BMS) designed for high-temperature environments. VOLFUTR will also provide remote monitoring and a 10-year performance warranty.
